Ready for a Working Holiday abroad?

Work. Travel. Explore the World.

Thinking about taking time off, switching things up, or exploring life abroad? You’re not alone. Every year, thousands of young Canadians (aged 18–35) travel abroad through International Experience Canada (IEC) — gaining real-world work experience, making global connections, and discovering new cultures along the way.

We partner with 30+ countries to help you plan a work & travel adventure that fits your goals — whether that’s teaching, interning, or simply taking time to explore.

Real Stories, Real Experiences

Nothing captures the spirit of International Experience Canada (IEC) better than the voices of those who’ve lived it. Hear from Canadians who took the leap, worked abroad, and discovered how travel can change your life.

I think the best piece of advice I can give is to just do it. It can be intimidating at the start […], but if it’s something you’re interested in, I’d encourage you to talk to other people who have done it and to take that step, take that risk, because it will definitely be worth it!
